Life in The atlantic forest

A video and photo documentary.

The videos and photos were shot with a Sony A7C and a FE 24–105mm f/4 lens. Photographs were edited in Adobe Lightroom, while the videos were animated and edited using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.

I travelled for a month through what is known as the Atlantic Forest: the coastal region
stretching from São Paulo to Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil.
There, I discovered a culture where street food, art, surf, fishing, wildlife, and music come
together to create a vibrant snapshot of life.

This project taught me how to observe, how to communicate in a foreign language, and how to
build intimate connections. It challenged me to visually translate intangible experiences, and to
bring my own artistic vision while remaining, above all, a pair of open eyes witnessing and
depicting a region of the world.
